Today, I had a relaxed interview with Isaac Saierre, a brilliant example of talent from Leeds.
Living in Huddersfield, he has been finding his passion for music for quite some time and posting original songs on Spotify and vocal covers of classic songs such as 'Redbone' by Childish Gambino on YouTube. In his original music, it is clear to see why he chooses to cover these songs. They all match his style perfectly.
In October last year, he met with LeedsTV to perform his cover of 'Bridge over Troubled Water' by Simon & Garfunkel. A video you should definitely search up but because I am a kind soul, I've linked it below for you:
The haunting rendition of the classic song from the pair of artists widely known for 'The Sound of Silence' is quite something. His voice compliments the instrumental and the range he utilises within this cover is mesmerising. He is captivating to see live too, which I had the pleasure of doing in the past at the Parish in Huddersfield.
Here is another one of his covers, Redbone by Childish Gambino. This was where I was first introduced to Isaac's ethereal vocals.
His EP 'Fairfax & Melrose' released in 2017 is a fantastic example of what his music has to offer, although he also experiments with other genres and has said that in the past he has experimented with 'dubstep' and 'pop'. His vocal range has the potential for other genres too with other genres for the beats.
His music throughout the entire EP offer ethereal vocals over R&B influenced beats. He effortlessly weaves together elements of Soul and R&B together to create music that is pleasing to the ears.
You could definitely see his music under a playlist which is designed to make you relax and have a sit down. Not only that, his lyrics are words for thought too:
